Basketball players are flying into Melbourne from overseas. They have four days to earn a contract in front of NBL1 and Big V coaches and agents. We want you making the content that shows who they are.
Select XXIV is an invitation-only showcase, and this November is our first edition. You'll be on the floor for the games, in the huddles and around the players between sessions. You'll run our Instagram stories live, shoot the photos and make the phone-first reels. Our videographer films the games and cuts the highlight reels, so you own the people, the personalities and the week around the basketball.
The work
- Run the @selectxxiv Instagram stories each day, posting live as sessions and games happen
- Shoot photos on camera and on phone: game action, warm-ups, the bench, the reactions when results land
- Reels & TikToks: make phone-first content built around the players, from challenges and Q&As to fit checks, POVs and trend formats
- Portraits: shoot every player on camera, for player spotlights and recruiter cards
- Lifestyle & storytelling: capture the Melbourne week off court, including personalities, fashion, food, culture and the group activities
- Community: engage our audience live through the week with replies, reposts, polls and question boxes
- Work alongside our videographer, who covers the games and the edited highlight reels. A five-minute check-in each morning splits the day's moments between you.

You
- Live in Melbourne
- Own a camera you know well, plus a phone that shoots clean vertical video
- Have a portfolio or Instagram showing sport, events, people or creator-style content
- Know what's working on Instagram and TikTok right now
- Can commit to all four days
Students and recent grads are welcome, and La Trobe students will be shooting on home turf at La Trobe Sports Park.
What you'll deliver
- 15–25Story frames a day, posted live as sessions and games happen
- 8Phone reels or TikToks, two a day, 15 to 30 seconds, built around the players
- 4Photo carousels, one a day for the feed: the day's game or a player spotlight
- AllPlayer portraits on camera, one per player, shot on Pro Day
- DailyPhoto selects edited and uploaded to a shared folder each night, sorted by day
That's the whole list. Everything happens inside the four days: no editing after the event and no long-form video.
Pay
$1,200 AUD
$300 per day, $1,200 for the four days, paid on completion. Days run around 8 hours.
Food and travel are covered for all four days.
